DR.WEISSMAN, BRUCE WARREN 77, of Aventura, Florida passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. Born September 8, 1940 in Philadelphia, he graduated from Albright College and Jefferson Medical College. After his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, he spent his life caring for patients as an ENT and facial plastic surgeon in Miami Beach, Aventura and Hallandale. Dr. Weissman served as president of the Miami-Dade County Medical Association and a major in the United States Air Force. He was an active member of Aventura-Turnberry Jewish Center and a respected member of the community. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Annette (Braunstein) Weissman, brother Arthur Weissman, children Richard (Carmen) Weissman, Pete (Emily) Weissman and Jason (Ella) Goldberg. Grandchildren Michelle, Ryan and Hannah Weissman and Brandon and Aubrey Goldberg and predeceased by parents Meyer and Estelle Weissman. His passions included woodworking, travel, tennis, dancing and spending time with his family. Services will be held Monday, September 25 at 11:00 am at Levitt-Weinstein North Miami Beach 18840 West Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33180 with burial at Lakeside Memorial Park in Doral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
